Applications are open for Diaspora Investors support

The National Programme to Support Investment in the Diaspora (PNAID) foresees the creation of financial incentives to attract investments and provide support to entities based in inland areas. Within the scope of this programme, it was assigned to the applications to the Productive Innovation for Inland Areas Notice (Notice n º 08/SI/2020) a specific financial allocation of 30%, for projects whose investors have the Diaspora Investor status.

The applications to the 4th stage of this Notice run until December 31.

The Diaspora Investor status may be requested by Portuguese emigrants or Portuguese descendants, who live or have lived outside Portugal for more than one year and intend to carry out investment projects in Portugal. The North, Centre and Algarve Regional Operational Programmes participate in this application stage.

The programme +CO3SO Emprego, instrument of action and regional development, which promotes the creation of jobs, also predicts an increase in the support for investments from emigrants and Portuguese descendants.
