Portugal condemns attack in Burkina-Faso

The Portuguese Government strongly condemns the attack on 6 November against a convoy of civilian and military vehicles in eastern Burkina-Faso, which resulted in the loss of 37 lives and 60 more injured.

The Portuguese Government expresses its deepest condolences to the family members, following with concern the deteriorating security situation in Burkina-Faso and in the Sahel region in recent years.

The Portuguese Government manifests its absolute solidarity towards the Government of Burkina-Faso, and reiterates its commitment, namely in the multilateral framework, to the fight against terrorism and extremism.
