The NDISP - National Diaspora Investment Support Programme started today, aimed at staff of the Intermunicipal Communities (CIM) and municipalities (Emigrant Support Offices, Business Spaces or other services dedicated to entrepreneurship and investment).
The first action, dedicated to the Support to the Diaspora Investor, gathered 130 participants from 40 municipalities and the CIM of Terras de Trás-os-Montes, Alto Tâmega, Ave, Cávado and Tâmega e Sousa. All these regions are covered by a network of Emigrant Support Offices.
Until the 24th of September, seven training actions are taking place, distributed by region, involving the continental national territory (21 CIM, two Metropolitan Areas, 278 municipalities). These actions are aimed at about 900 participants.
The NDISP Training Plan addresses issues related to support to investment and entrepreneurship of the diaspora, with particular focus on the inland regions, and is provided by the Secretaries of State for Portuguese Communities and for the Promotion of the Interior, which oversee the NDISP, and by various State services, such as IAPMEI, I.P. - Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, the AMA - Agency for Administrative Modernization, the IEFP - Institute of Employment and Vocational Training, I.P., Turism of Portugal, AICEP - Agency for Investment and External Trade of Portugal, the Portuguese Bank of Investment (?), the Tax Authority, the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development and the Directorate-General for Fisheries and Maritime Affairs.
