About Culture

The mission of the Minister of Culture is to draft, drive, implement and assess an overarching and coordinated policy in the field of culture and the fields related thereto, namely safeguarding and enhancing cultural heritage, as well as in the area of the media, the incentive to the creation of art and cultural dissemination, qualification of the cultural fabric and, together with the Minister of State and Foreign Affairs, the international expansion of Portuguese culture and language.
