João Paulo Rebelo was born in Lourenço Marques, Mozambique, in 1974.
Bachelor at the Institute of Higher Financial Studies, and Graduated in Management by the Higher Institute of Administration and Management.
He was once a businessman and worked in private sector during several years, as manager, director and CEO of different companies.
Between 2007 and 2011, he was chairman of the Board of Movijovem – public company responsible for the national youth hostels.
Between 2001 and 2012, he was an active member of Viseu´s local parliament and City Council.
He was elected member of the national parliament in the XIII Legislature, being a full member of the Economy, Innovation and Public Constructions Commission.
During the previous Government, he served as Secretary of State for Youth and Sport.
In the 2019 elections he was again elected to the national parliament and he is, again, serving as Secretary of State for Youth and Sport.
