Mário Belo Morgado was born in Lisbon in 1956.
He holds a Law Degree by the University of Lisbon.
He was appointed Judge on 1982, appointed Appeal Court Judge on 1998, and appointed Judge of the Supreme Court of Justice on 2013.
He also held positions in public and judicial administration: General Director of Judicial Service of the Ministry of Justice (1991-1995), National Director of the Public Security Police (2002-2004), and Judicial Inspector (under the High Council for the Judiciary) in 2006.
Commended in 1995 by the Minister of Justice and awarded on 2004 by the Minister of Home Affairs, with the Gold Medal for Distinguished Internal Security Services.
He participated in various training events, conferences, colloquia and meetings, national and international, namely on behalf of Portugal.
