Alexandra Leitão

Alexandra Leitão was born in Lisbon in 1973.

She holds a degree, a master and a PhD in Law, all from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

She is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

Alexandra Leitão was Assistant Secretary of State and Education between 2015 and 2019.

Between 2009 and 2011 she was Deputy Director of the Legal Centre of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (CEJUR), where she served as a consultant from 1999 to 2009.

She was a member of the Advisory Board of the Attorney General's Office between 2011 and 2015.

From 1997 to 1999, she was adviser in the Cabinet of the Secretary of State of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
