The Prime Minister António Costa will be on official visit in Angola on 5 and 6 June, by invitation of the Angolan President, João Lourenço.
The programme will contain institutional political meetings, namely with President João Lourenço, entrepreneurs, and the Portuguese community.
The aim of this visit is to boost bilateral relations between Portugal and Angola on a political, economic, and cultural level, enhancing areas such as engineering and construction, agrifood, and tourism.
The Prime Minister’s last official visit to Angola was in September 2018.
After visiting Angola, António Costa will travel to South Africa, where he will be on 7 June under the programme to commemorate 10 June with the Portuguese community that resides in South Africa, together with the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
The detailed programme for both visits will be disclosed in due time.
