André Moz Caldas was born in Lisbon in 1982.
He graduated in Law from the University of Lisbon School of Law in 2011 and obtained his master’s degree in Law and History (Roman Law) from the same institution in 2015. He is currently writing his PhD theses on Roman Law.
He also graduated in Dentistry in 2006 from the University of Lisbon Faculty of Dentistry, where he obtained a master’s degree in 2009. A dentist and a lawyer (fees suspended voluntarily in both the bar and association of dentists due to public office), he is currently Visiting Professor at the University of Lisbon School of Law (since 2012).
Among other posts, he was Chairman of the Board of OPART – Artistic Production Body (2019), Chief of Cabinet for the Minister of Finance in Prime Minister António Costa’s first Government (2015-2019), Chairman of the Parish Council of Alvalade (2013-2018), and member of the General Board of the University of Lisbon (2008-2012).
He was Secretary of State for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in António Costa’s second Government.
He has written several publications.
