The agreements to build two temporary facilities to accommodate foreign citizens in an irregular situation and in a removal process were signed in Lisbon today. One of the facilities will be in Lisbon and the other in Porto, with a joint capacity to house more than 300 people. The overall investment is 30 million euros funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF).

The Prime Minister Luís Montenegro attended the ceremony together with the Minister of the Presidency António Leitão Amaro, the Minister in the Cabinet of the Prime Minister and Territorial Cohesion, Castro Almeida, the Minister of Home Affairs, Margarida Blasco, as well as representatives from law enforcement.
