Allow me to start by commending the Italian Presidency. The last few months were challenging to our organization, to say the least, and Italy managed to keep the boat afloat in very difficult times. Mr. Chairperson, Portugal is deeply appreciative of your work.

 

It is an honor for me to address the Committee of Ministers today. Last year, Portugal celebrated the 45th anniversary of its accession to the Council of Europe, and we remain committed to this Organization to the very fullest.
