Rui Armindo Freitas was born on July 5th, 1983, in Guimarães.
He has a degree in Economics from Universidade Católica Portuguesa of Porto and an Executive Master's Degree in Corporate Finance from ISCTE of Lisbon. He has attended various complementary training programs, such as: Management Control and Performance Evaluation, at Porto Business School; Business Analysis and Valuation and Judgement and Decision Making for Management, both at London School of Economics.
He began his career as a financial analyst and investor relations at a leading Portuguese multinational corporation. He was a manager and director of companies in the media and industrial sectors.
He has been managing several projects in the textile sector, particularly in the trade and industry of raw materials.
He has been engaged in several social, cultural, religious, and sport’s associations in the north region of Portugal.
Member of Guimarães’ Municipal Assembly on behalf of the Social Democratic Party since 2005.
