Margarida Balseiro Lopes

Margarida Balseiro Lopes was born in Marinha Grande on 24 September 1989.

She is a doctoral student in Law, at Católica Portuguesa University, holds a postgraduate degree in Taxation from the Católica Portuguesa University Law School, a master’s in Law and Management from Católica Portuguesa University and a Law Degree from the Lisbon School of Law.

Since April 2022 until now, she was a consultant at Deloitte Portugal. She began her professional path in 2012 as tax consultant for one of the BIG4.

A member of Parliament from 2015 to 2022, she sat on various parliamentary committees, such as the Budget and Finance Committee or the Committee for Education, Science, Youth, and Sports.

On a party level, Margarida Balseiro Lopes has been Vice President of the Social Democratic Party since 2022 and was President of the Democratic Youth JSD from 2018 to 2020.
